Hey everyone! It’s Brandon, reporting from the corporate office in St. Louis. The 3½ month assignment has flown by, and in 3 short weeks I’ll be moving a few hundred yards down the street to work as a Group Manager in the brewing department of the St. Louis Brewery.
Since the end of January, I have been working for the Packaging Support group, and most of my time has been spent managing a project to implement new packages to the market. I can’t get into too many details, but it’s amazing to see the amount of coordination required to make a packaging change at this scale. I have been working with carton manufacturers, packer manufacturers, procurement, graphics development, legal, innovations, consumer insights, zone and brewery logistics, brewery representatives, and brand teams to make sure that we have thought through all of the potential risks associated with packaging changes. The testing and development has been in the Cartersville brewery, so I have been down there quite a bit (I will be making my 5th visit since February next week). It’s been a lot of work, but I’m learning a lot and having a lot of fun.
Outside of work, the six of us in St. Louis have been having a blast! We are on a rapidly improving indoor soccer team and an undefeated softball team, and we’re about to start the kickball season next weekend. Our apartment is literally a block from Busch Stadium, and we’re going to our first game of the season tonight to watch my Reds beat up on the Cards (wishful thinking). Anyway, I better get back to work, but I thought I’d leave you with a picture of a Bud Light throne we made.
Feel free to send me an e-mail if you have any questions!
