The Lager Bloggers

Brandon Brown

Hey everyone! My name is Brandon Brown, and I’m one of the select few true Midwesterners in this year’s class.  I grew up in a small town outside of Cincinnati, OH and then attended Washington University in St. Louis, where I played football and studied Mechanical Engineering and Business.  In my free time, I enjoy to be active and competitive in anything from traditional sports like basketball, softball, and golf to more extreme activities such as scuba diving, mountain climbing, and skiing.

Enough with the background and on to the exciting part: working with beer!  The GMT Program is unlike any program I’ve ever heard of in that not only am I getting hands-on training in every aspect of ABI, exposure to the company’s top executives, and the ability to spend every day talking about beer, but I get to do all of this with 17 other extremely talented and motivated recent grads.

In the first few weeks, I’ve already had the chance to go through brewing boot camp, take a trip to Chicago to learn about innovations at Accenture, present my own Natty Light marketing strategy, and begin to develop a new beer brand, among other things.  Oh, and by the way, the happy hours and Cardinals games have been great as well.
